New stu­dy: Goog­le owes Ger­man media around 1.3 bil­li­on euros

Economists from FehrAdvice & Partners prove this through a behavioural economics experiment: 73 per cent of users prefer the Google search engine with journalistic content. Further findings: journalistic media contribute in particular to the topicality, trust and completeness of search results. On average, journalistic media increase Google’s value by 24 per cent. Breakth­rough: Corint Media rea­ches agree­ment with Esco­sia

Corint Media and the largest European search engine Ecosia conclude permanent licence agreement on press publishers' rights. In terms of press publishers' rights, the green search engine Ecosia, based in Berlin, and Corint Media agree on the required remuneration calculation. Ecosia emphasises the will to conform to the law and its own ethical core values as the basis of the search engine's strategic orientation, including the use of content from publishers and individual authors.
