Corint Media GmbH (hereinafter „Corint Media“) is taking privacy of its business partners and employees very seriously. Hence, we comply with the provisions set out by the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) as well as any other provision regarding the protection of data subjects. In line with the principle of data minimisation, we are collecting, processing and saving as little personal data as necessary, in accordance with Art. 5 GDPR. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
We process personal data if

  1. either the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purpose(s) in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection a) of the GDPR, or
  2. processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection b) of the GDPR. A transfer of personal data to external agents might also become necessary for certain contractually stipulated purposes, e.g. commissioning a debt collecting agency.

Beyond that, we do only process personal data for the purpose of

  1. compliance with legal obligations (Article 6, paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection c) of the GDPR)
  2. protecting the vital interests of the person concerned or of another natural person (Article 6, paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection d) of the GDPR)
  3. performing a task carried out in the public interest (Article 6, paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection e) of the GDPR), or,
  4. the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party, except where such interests are outweighed by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the person concerned is a child (Article 6, paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection f) of the GDPR).

Logging your visit/Use of functionality cookies
General Provisions:
Functionality cookies are automatically set upon accessing our website. Functionality cookies are small text files that are downloaded onto your device when you visit a website. They remain there until your next visit of the website and will be deleted subsequently. These cookies contain an alphanumeric string which may enable our website to recognise your browser (but not your identity) when you make a return visit.

Extent and Purpose of Processing
We process personal data for following purposes:

  1. Ensuring the functionality of our website;
  2. The correct display of the selected language.

Duration of data storage
Personal data will be stored for the following duration:

  1. Authentication: until purpose is served, but no longer than 60 days;
  2. Language Filter: until you leave our website.

Legal basis
We are processing personal data for reasons of functionality and security of our website. It is our assessment that this legitimate interest is not outweighed by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of any data subject (Article 6 paragraph 1, clause 1, subsection f) of the GDPR). Feel free to contact us for more information on our assessment process.

Right of objection
You have the right to object at any time to our processing of your personal data. We shall no longer process your personal data for above-mentioned purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can submit your objection to the above-stated contacts. Alternatively, you may also specify in your browser settings which types of cookies, if any, you want to block. Blocking cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

Further to above-stated right to object, you have the right to assert at any time against us as controller your claims for access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing or data portability. Please refer to the section “Controller” above for our contact details.

In case you gave us consent to process your personal data, you shall have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You may additionally at any time file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
